Avonreach Academy Trust Statement to Stakeholders
We are delighted to announce that following a diligent and exhaustive review of all information submitted by AAT and other interested parties, the Regional Schools Commissioner approved our request to change the Age Ranges of the four schools in Avonreach Academy Trust at their meeting on 13th December. You may have already heard this information from other sources, but Avonreach was asked to refrain from publishing any information until today.
The plan submitted and approved included provision from September 2019 onwards, therefore, the Trust’s First Schools (Cherry Orchard, Inkberrow, Norton Juxta-Kempsey) will be able to take Year 5 pupils from September 2019 and Year 6 pupils from September 2020, and Pershore High School will be able to take Year 7 pupils from September 2021. The approval is on condition that relevant stakeholders attend a number of facilitated discussions in the new year to ensure that the age range change has a coordinated implementation, for the benefit of pupils across the pyramid.
We would like to thank all stakeholders for their active participation and input into this proposal during the consultation process and would stress that AAT and its schools will continue to work closely with Middle Schools and partner schools both in and beyond the Pershore pyramid to ensure the best possible educational outcomes for all children, irrespective of the route they choose to take.
Further details regarding the new Year 5 provision at each of the First schools will be released by them shortly.
