We spent some time reading 'Archie's War' by Marcia Williams, which is a fictional diary of a boy in World War 1. It is a really interesting and engaging book and we were inspired to create our own versions. Our diaries are all about the Coronavirus Pandemic and include events from January 2020 up until today.
Year 5 were set a challenge to make a model of a WW1 trench. We have some excellent Minecraft creators!

- The benefits and disadvantages of globalisation
- Specific countries involved in industry
- Specific companies/ brands and their methods of production.
We really enjoyed creating these bowls, cups and plates inspired by Ancient Greek pottery. Most pots from Ancient Greece depict myths or battles. Can you recognise which battle or myth our pottery shows?
Our topic homework this term was to compare modern day England and Greece. We researched various features of each country including geography, politics, food, language, currency and climate. Take a look at some of our amazing presentations.
We spent some time looking at the work of Clarice Cliff. We really enjoyed exploring her bold use of colour and line. We were inspired to create our own designs, based on her art.
