Jack and the Beanstalk

In term five, we bring the classic story Jack and the Beanstalk to life as we explore how plants grow. Children plant their own beans and take care of them throughout the school year, learning about what plants need to thrive—like water, sunlight, and care. This hands-on experience helps nurture a love for nature and science through curiosity and observation.

Science Week 2025

This year, we had a space themed week for Science week. We had an amazing time in Reception, where we trained to be astronauts! The children made their own training camp complete with obstacle course. They wrote a list of the items they needed to take with them, ordered numbers ready for take off and then made a fantastic rocket! 

Some Very Special Visitors!

This term, we were very lucky to have two police officers visit our class! They came to tell us all about their jobs and how they protect and serve the community. We got to dress up in some police uniform, ask lots of questions and even sat in the back of the police van! The sirens were incredibly loud. We had a wonderful time.
