Poetry Workshop Inspires Our Young Writers

On Wednesday, our Year 5 and 6 pupils enjoyed an exciting, full-day poetry writing workshop led by Poet Laureate Spoz. The session was filled with creativity, energy, and plenty of inspiration as pupils explored the art of crafting powerful poems.

We’re thrilled to announce that some of our talented young poets will be representing NJK at the Worcestershire Poetry Slam Competition at the Redditch Theatre later this year.

Last year, our Year 6 team achieved an incredible milestone by winning 1st place in the Worcestershire Poetry Slam final with their original piece Count on Me. Their outstanding performance impressed the judges and secured the top spot—a truly remarkable achievement! We can’t wait to see what this year’s competition brings.
