Autumn 2025
In Autumn, our two topics are 'Me and My Community' followed by 'Festivals and Celebrations'.
In Me and My Community, we spend lots of time welcoming the children and families to our school community, ensuring a happy start to school and feeling part of the school. We introduce the children to the school staff, each other and our church, St James the Great in Norton. We establish rules and routines and show the children how to care for themselves, each other and their new environment. We do lots of fun activities to help the children settle in.
In Festivals and Celebrations, we learn about Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day, Diwali, birthdays and Christmas. We explore each festival and celebration through a variety of hands on activities. The term ends in a wonderful performance of the Nativity story to the children's families
