Worcestershire Virtual Summer School Games Winners

Our third place County winners from the Worcestershire Virtual Summer School Games activities finally received their medals today. It is a super achievement for the girls, especially as they competed from home, during a very difficult time of lockdown. It was fantastic to see so many pupils taking part in the challenges from home during the summer term  - let's hope we have similar success in the Virtual Autumn School Games Athletics competitions next week!

School Games Mark and Virtual School Games Award 2019/20

Norton Juxta Kempsey Primary School has been awarded the School Games Mark 2019/20 as a result of all the great competitions that pupils have been involved in during the period of September - March. That includes all the House competitions, AAT competitions and festivals, district competitions AND EVEN County level finalist. Well done to everyone who has been involved in sports at NJK this year as without your participation, we would not have achieved this award.

We have also been awarded the Virtual School Games Award for contributions to and participation in sport during the period of Lockdown. Well done, again, to everyone who has been active during this time and those who have participated in all the wonderful PE activities that were set by your teachers. These awards are for YOU!

Worcestershire Virtual School Games 2020 - Flag / Poster Competition

Some of the amazing entries into the Virtual Worcestershire School Games Flag / Poster competition.

District New Age Kurling - 2020

Pupils had a wonderful time at the District New Age Kurling competition on Thursday 30th January 2020, at The DeMontfort School in Evesham. They quickly learnt new skills and tactics whilst playing against different teams and, as a first-time attendance at the competition, performed amazingly well. Out of 24 teams at the competition, NJK Team 1 came 7th and Team 2 came a respectable 20th.

South Worcestershire District Cross Country

A selection of Year 3, 4 and 5 pupils competed in the Year 5 District Cross Country race on Wednesday 14th December. It is the first time pupils from the school have competed in this competition and they loved every minute of it - despite the mud, wind and drizzle!

There were approximately 80 athletes in each of the Year 5 Boys and Year 5 Girls race and one of our pupils even qualified for the County Cross Country competition in February!
